Club records shall be approved subject to the following conditions:
- A club record shall be a performance by a competitor who is currently a registered masters swimmer with the London Silver Dolphins Masters Swim Club and who is eligible to compete for the London Silver Dolphins in MSO sanctioned events.
- A club record shall be a performance by a relay team, when all members of the team are eligible to Ontario and Canadian records, are registered with the London Silver Dolphins Masters Swim Club, and are eligible to compete for the London Silver Dolphins in MSO sanctioned events.
- All records must be made in competitions held in public. The London Silver Dolphins will not recognize individual time trials or races against time outside of a sanctioned competition.
- A surveyor or other qualified official appointed or approved by Masters Swimming Canada must certify the facility and equipment requirements.
- The London Silver Dolphins will only accept records when times are reported by automatic timing equipment, or where there are at least two timers designated for the lane.
- Times which are equal to 1/100 of a second will be recognized as equal records, and competitors achieving these equal times will be called "Joint Holders." Only the time of the winner of a race may be submitted for a series record. In the event of a tie in a record-setting race, each competitor who tied shall be considered a winner.
- The first competitor in a relay may apply for a series record. The competitor’s performance shall not be nullified by any subsequent disqualification of the relay team for a violation occurring after the first competitor’s distance has been completed. If applying for a record as the first competitor in a relay, item v. (timing equipment requirements) must be satisfied for the first competitor's split time in the relay.
- Applications for club records in MSO or MSC sanctioned events must be submitted to the webmaster.
- Applications for club records not achieved in an MSO or MSC sanctioned event must be submitted to the club executive.
- Upon receipt of the application for series record, and upon satisfaction that the information contained in the application is accurate, the webmaster or club executive shall declare and publish the club record.
